Deborah Stewart Director

SoloQuest's Director is Deborah Stewart who attended high school in Sao Paulo, Brazil and earned a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan. She completed her teaching credential at Dominican College. Deborah possesses a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and an Administrative Credential as well as a single subject Social Science credential.

Deborah created and founded Tamiscal High School of the Tamalpais Union High School District in 1990. Tamiscal was the first WASC accredited public independent study high school in Marin County.

Deborah's twenty year educational career began in private alternative schools in Marin, including the Independent Learning School and The Marin School, which she helped found in 1981. All of these schools where Deborah has taught and served as an administrator have emphasized the needs of each individual student as the top priority of the school.

Edwin Nelson
Ed Nelson holds a Ph.D degree in Physics from Stanford University. He is a teacher and tutor for both Math and Science.
